quick-n-easy salmon with herb sauce

This is a very versatile recipe that comes together in minutes. And yet, is very company worthy! We often change it up by adding some minced or grated ginger to the herb/butter mixture. You can also substitute cilantro for the parsley. We've also found this to be better using the thicker farm-raised salmon vs the thin wild-caught salmon.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon fillets
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup flat-leaf parsley, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • 1/2 lemon, for garnish, cut in wedges

How To Make quick-n-easy salmon with herb sauce

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 F. Place salmon in a baking dish. Put the butter in a glass measuring cup and microwave until melted.
  • Step 2
Add the parsley, lemon juice, garlic and cayenne to the melted butter. Season with kosher salt and freshly ground pepper. Spread the herb/butter mixture over the salmon fillets.
  • Step 3
Bake for 10-12 minutes, until salmon is opaque and flakes easily. We like ours just barely cooked, so start looking at it around the 9 minute mark. Serve with the lemon wedges alongside.
