  • 1 tsp
    olive oil
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 1
    celery stalk, chopped
  • 2
    6-1/2 cans chopped clams, undrained
  • 1
    8 oz bottle clam juice
  • 1-3/4 c
    chicken brotth
  • 1 large
    potato, diced
  • 1 tsp
    dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp
    each salt and white pepper
  • 3 Tbsp
  • 2 c
    light cream

How to Make Quick fishermans clam chowder


  1. In lg pot over medium heat, saute onion and celery in oil for 5 mins. Add clams w/ their juices, broth, thyme, salt and pepper.
  2. Cover, bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, cook until potatoes are tender, about 15 mins.
  3. In bowl whisk together cornstarch and cream. Add mix to chowder, cook until thickened, stirring often.
