Ingredients

  • 1/4 c
    diced, salt pork
  • 1/4 c
    chopped onions
  • 1 c
    clam liquor and water
  • 1 c
    potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • ·
    dash of pepper
  • 3 qt
    quahogs (hard-shell clams) shucked and chopped with liquid reserved
  • 2 c
    milk

How to Make Quahog Chowder

Step-by-Step

  1. Fry Salt pork until golden. Add onion and cook until tender and transparent.
  2. Add liquor, potatoes, salt, pepper and clams. Cook about 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Add milk. Heat. Serve with crackers.
