This recipe is simple and scrumptious! It has been a staple in my house since 1999 and everyone loves it! Great with Pinot Noir!

Ingredients

  • 8 - 1/2-pound salmon steaks
  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1/4 cup applejack or peach brandy
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • - salt and freshly ground pepper

How To Make perfect glazed salmon

  • Step 1
    In a medium saucepan, boil the apple cider with the brandy and butter until the cider glaze is reduced to 2/3 cup, about 25 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Preheat the broiler. Season the salmon steaks with salt and pepper and brush them on both sides with the cider glaze. Arrange the steaks in a broiler pan or on a rack set in a rimmed baking sheet. Broil the salmon for about 8 - 10 minutes, brushing occasionally with the glaze, or until crisp and just cooked through.
