As a child I fished through the ice and caught many of these suckers.
I can still remember the delicious fish fry's we had.

MIX:

2
parts wheat flour
1
part pumpernickle rye flour
1
part corn meal
sucker fish fillets

How to Make Pan Fried Suckers

Step-by-Step

  • 1Combine mix ingredients. Mix well.
    Shake sucker fillets in flour mixture using a paper bag.
    Lay fillets on a rack for about 1/2 an hour.
    Flour will absorb moisture.
  • 2Heat oil or fat.
    Shake fish in flour again before dropping into the pan.
