I love crab and opah - this is a great way to combine them both into one meal.

4 5-oz
moonfish filets
3 oz
crabmeat, cooked
2 tsp
2 tsp
green onion, thinly sliced
salt and pepper, to taste
1 Tbsp
clarified butter

How to Make Opah (Moonfish) Stuffed with Crab


  • 1Separate crab meat and remove bits of shell and membrane.
  • 2Mix with mayonnaise and green onion.
  • 3Cut a pocket in the opah filet and fill with crab mix.
  • 4Season filet with salt and pepper.
  • 5Sear in clarified butter on both sides over medium high heat.
  • 6Place in 350F oven for 5 minutes to finish cooking.
