new orleans style bbq shrimp
My husband fell in love with this dish on a business trip to New Orleans and decided I had to learn how to make it. The good news there is I got to go to New Orleans, not just for that but it worked in my favor. I found the recipe there and we love to eat this dish on special occasions. *Note this is not BBQ as in typical BBQ sauce. This dish has New Orleans style "kick" (in other words spicy). It is a must to serve this with crusty french bread to soak up the sauce. A salad or greens beans are a nice accompaniment too.

How To Make new orleans style bbq shrimp
-
Step 1Combine all ingredients except shrimp and warm until butter is melted. This can be done in microwave or oven at 350 degrees. I use the microwave.
-
Step 2Add shrimp and cook until shrimp are pink, this won't take long usually 5 minutes. If using microwave watch carefully checking every 1-2 minutes so you don't end up with tough shrimp which would ruin the dish.
