new orleans barbecue shrimp

I was looking for a great shrimp recipe and found this one that looked good. We tried it and love it. It has some spice to it, but you can adjust the heat. It has been my go-to shrimp recipe. I usually serve it with French bread to sop up the liquid from the dish. It goes well with rice too.

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds unpeeled, large fresh shrimp
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 2 - lemons, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons creole seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
  • - french bread

How To Make new orleans barbecue shrimp

  • Step 1
    Spread shrimp in a shallow, aluminum foil-lined boiler pan.
  • Step 2
    Combine butter and next 12 ingredients in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until butter melts, and pour over shrimp. Cover and chill for 2 hours, turning shrimp every 30 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees for 20 minutes; turn once. Serve with bread.
