These are delicious. Don't marinate longer than 3 hours or the edges get hard.

Ingredients

  • MARINADE
  • 2 tuna steaks, the ones that are in a rectangle works best
  • 2 cups Teriyaki sauce your favorite
  • 1/2 cup dry sherry
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • olive oil
  • green parts of scallions shredded
  • pickled ginger for serving
  • 1 lemon

How To Make marinated grilled tuna steak

  • Step 1
    Place the Teriyaki sauce, sherry, ginger, and garlic in a large bowl. Add the tuna and let it marinate for 3 hours in the fridge, turning every hour.
  • Step 2
    Remove from the fridge, drain, and let it come to room temperature about 30 minutes. Cut each tuna into 3 pieces.
  • Step 3
    Get a grill hot. Brush the tuna with oil and sear on every side for about 30 seconds each side.
  • Step 4
    Lay the scallions on a plate top with the tuna and place a piece of ginger on each piece. Squirt a half a lemon over each plate. Enjoy
