My kids love these! You can make these with salmon as well! This dish is pictured with sides including my Southern style potatoe salad and fresh green bean almondine, corn on the cob and Hawaiian rolls. I will be posting recipes of sides soon!

    makrel
  • 2 c
    crushed saltine cracker crumbs
  • 1
    egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    onion powder
  • ·
    oil for frying

How to Make Mackerel Patties

Step-by-Step

  1. Drain makrel, debone and transfer to a large bowl. Add remaining ingredients except oil; mix throughly and shape into patties.
  2. Fry in hot oil over medium high heat until golden brown.
  3. Drain on paper towels.
