This is a great way to cook fish, especially if you are skeptical or nervous about having to flip fish in a pan. No need to flip this one! This recipe is also posted on my personal blog foodyschmoodyblog.com where you can find more easy to make family recipes.

  • 2 lb
    cod fillets
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    lemon zest
  • 1 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp
    chopped parsley, fresh
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper

  • 1 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 1/4 c
    seasoned panko crumbs

How to Make Lemon Garlic Baked Cod


  1. Preheat oven to 425 F.
  2. In a bowl stir together sour cream, zest, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper.
    Spread the mixture over the cod fillets. Place fillets on a baking sheet, lined with parchment paper.
  3. If panko topping is desired, stir together the panko and butter and press on the tops of fillets.
  4. Bake 425 for 10-12 minutes.
