hubby's sauteed shrimp
My husband came up with this idea when we had some sausage that needed cooking but our plans were to have shrimp for supper. So he went ahead and fried the sausage patties, put them in the fridge and we'll have them in biscuits tomorrow morning. That's when he decided to go ahead and saute the shrimp in the sausage grease. I am so glad he thought about doing this because these shrimp were awesome! I was most impressed and will definitely do this again. Granted, it's not very healthy but we can do this three or four times a year, right? LOL!!! (12/12/12)

- 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled & deveined
- - breakfast pork sausage
- - just a pinch of salt
- - just a pinch of black pepper
How To Make hubby's sauteed shrimp
-
Step 1Fry 3 or 4 sausage patties. Once they are cooled you can refrigerate them for breakfast the next day. This is what my husband did and I really liked the idea.
-
Step 2Place the raw shrimp (that's been peeled and deveined) right into the sausage grease. Sprinkle a little salt and black pepper on shrimp and saute until they turn pink. Delicious!
-
Step 3Note: He used the hot pork sausage because it gives the shrimp a spicy taste but isn't too hot. Be sure to use a sausage that has fat in it.
