A good friend gave me this recipe when she told me my picky then 13 yr old ate it up. His early years in Jamaica gave him a very difficult palate to please when it comes to fish. You can adjust the jalapeno to taste or eliminate it all together. Debbie (Keenan) says this works well for chicken too. I hope you enjoy!

  • 2 clove
    minced garlic
  • 3 Tbsp
    lime juice
  • 3 Tbsp
    orange juice
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/2 bunch
    chopped cilantro
  • 1/2
    jalapenos, fresh minced
  • 1 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 4-6 pcs.
    fish fillets or chicken breast

How to Make Keenan's Tilapia Recipe


  1. For marinade,combine the first nine ingredients in tupperware (I use a large ziploc bag)
  2. Add your fish or chicken and toss to coat
  3. Cover and refrigerate for several hours (the longer the better, but at least two hours)
  4. Grill
