Ingredients
- 1 pound cod filets or any firm white fish, like tilapia
- - salt
- 1 tablespoon kashmiri chili powder
- 1 teaspoon asafetida
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground fenugreek
- 1 teaspoon ajwain seeds
- 3 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1/2 cup chickpea flour
- 1/4 cup rice flour
- 2 eggs
- oil for frying
- chat masala
How To Make indian fish nuggets

Step 1Cut the fish into nugget-sized pieces and sprinkle with salt.

Step 2Mix the chili powder, asafetida, turmeric, fenugreek, ajwain seeds, ginger garlic paste, lime juice, and both flours, and add the fish carefully, massaging the spices into the fish. Place in the fridge for 1 hour.

Step 3Remove the fish and brush the spices off. Set aside.

Step 4Bring the oil to 350 degrees. Mix the marinade with the eggs and a little water to make a thick batter.

Step 5Dip the fish in the batter and deep fry in batches about 3 to 5 minutes, depending on how thick the fish pieces are.
