- 24 ounces halibut steaks, frozen, thawed
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/3 cup dry white wine
- 2/3 cup milk

How To Make halibut in creamy wine sauce

Step 1Pat halibut steaks dry; place in slow cooker.

Step 2Combine flour, sugar and salt.

Step 3In saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour mixture.

Step 4When well blended, add wine and milk and cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.

Step 5Allow sauce to boil 1 minutes while stirring.

Step 6Pour sauce over fish.

Step 7Cover and cook on high 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

Step 8Transfer halibut to serving platter; garnish with lemon.
