  • 1 lb
    halibut, cut into chunks
  • 1 c
  • 1.5 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1.5 tsp
    curry powder
  • 1 tsp
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp
    lemon pepper
  • 2 c
    panko bread crumbs
  • 12 oz
    beer, flat

How to Make Halibut Delight


  1. Combine flour, garlic powder, curry powder, marjoram, baking powder and lemon pepper.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Slowly add enough flat beer to make a thick batter.
  4. Dip halibut in batter and then roll in panko.
  5. Let stand for 2 minutes.
  6. Deep fry in 375 degree fat until golden brown.
  7. Drain on absorbent paper and serve with a tartar sauce or a zesty tomato, horseradish sauce for dipping.
