Ingredients

  • 1 pound halibut, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon marjoram
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 2 cups panko bread crumbs
  • 12 ounces beer, flat

How To Make halibut delight

  • Step 1
    Combine flour, garlic powder, curry powder, marjoram, baking powder and lemon pepper.
  • Step 2
    Mix well.
  • Step 3
    Slowly add enough flat beer to make a thick batter.
  • Step 4
    Dip halibut in batter and then roll in panko.
  • Step 5
    Let stand for 2 minutes.
  • Step 6
    Deep fry in 375 degree fat until golden brown.
  • Step 7
    Drain on absorbent paper and serve with a tartar sauce or a zesty tomato, horseradish sauce for dipping.
