Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups milk
- 2 pounds haddock fillets
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
How To Make haddock au gratin

Step 1Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until it is soft.

Step 2Stir in the flour, salt, and pepper, and cook for approximately 1 minute.

Step 3Add the milk, gradually stirring all the time, and cook until thickened.

Step 4Grease a 13X9" baking pan. Pour some of the cooked sauce onto the bottom of the dish.

Step 5Add the haddock.

Step 6Add the rest of the sauce. Top it off with the shredded cheese.

Step 7Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 25 - 30 minutes.
