olive oil
2 Tbsp
garlic cloves, slivered
1/2 tsp
red pepper, crushed
1/2 lb
shrimp, large and peeled
1/2 lb
bay scallops
1/2 tsp
4 Tbsp
chicken broth
1 tsp
fresh lime juice
1/2 c
finely chopped parsley
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste


1In a large heavy skillet, heat the oil over medium heat.
2Add the garlic and saute until it begins to brown.
3Remove the garlic with a slotted spoon and set aside.
4Add the pepper flakes to the skillet and increase the heat to medium high.
5Add the garlic, shrimp, scallops and paprika.
6Saute for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
7Add the chicken broth and cook for 1 minute.
8Remove the shrimp and scallops with a slotted spoon, place on a platter; set aside and keep warm.
9Add the lime juice, parsley, salt and pepper to taste to the pan and just heat through.
10Pour the sauce over the shrimp and scallops and serve immediately.
