olive oil
2 Tbsp
garlic cloves, slivered
1/2 tsp
red pepper, crushed
1/2 lb
shrimp, large and peeled
1/2 lb
bay scallops
1/2 tsp
4 Tbsp
chicken broth
1 tsp
fresh lime juice
1/2 c
finely chopped parsley
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

How to Make Garlic Shrimp and Scallops


  • 1In a large heavy skillet, heat the oil over medium heat.
  • 2Add the garlic and saute until it begins to brown.
  • 3Remove the garlic with a slotted spoon and set aside.
  • 4Add the pepper flakes to the skillet and increase the heat to medium high.
  • 5Add the garlic, shrimp, scallops and paprika.
  • 6Saute for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • 7Add the chicken broth and cook for 1 minute.
  • 8Remove the shrimp and scallops with a slotted spoon, place on a platter; set aside and keep warm.
  • 9Add the lime juice, parsley, salt and pepper to taste to the pan and just heat through.
  • 10Pour the sauce over the shrimp and scallops and serve immediately.
