My kids don't like fish much, but they will scarf these down. If you do these in a deep fryer, they only take 2 minutes to cook. I had never done them that way until tonight. They are a bit lighter and puffier than those done in a skillet. I think I like them even more this way... so did the kids.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces can of salmon
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup minced onion
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder

How To Make fluffy salmon patties

  • Step 1
    Drain and clean salmon, reserving the liquid.
  • Step 2
    Mix salmon, egg, onion, and flour.
  • Step 3
    Mix reserved salmon liquid and baking powder.
  • Step 4
    Fold it into the salmon mixture.
  • Step 5
    Drop by spoonful into hot oil until golden brown.
  • Step 6
    Drain on a paper towel.
