Ingredients

  • FOR THE SAUCE

  • 4 Tbsp
    black bean sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    ginger grated
  • 3 clove
    garlic minced
  • 3 Tbsp
    shaoxing wine
  • 1/4 c
    chinese fermented black beans (optional)
  • 1 tsp
    toasted sesame oil
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • FOR THE FISH

  • 2 lb
    fish fillets ( i used trout)
  • 1 Tbsp
    cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp
    oil
  • 1 medium
    onion sliced
  • 1
    red bell pepper sliced
  • 3 clove
    garlic minced

How to Make Fish in Black Bean Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Whisk the sauce ingredients together in a small bowl and set aside.
    Rub the cornstarch on the fish and set aside.
  2. Add the oil to a wok or large skillet. Add the onion, and red bell pepper and saute until softened. Add the garlic fish and reserved sauce. Cook until fish is done.
  3. Serve with rice
