Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds fresh fish filets
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons dry sherry
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
- 1-2 - eggs
- - floured bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon red pepper, crushed
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1 teaspoon of water
How To Make fish hunan style

Step 1Make marinade out of soy sauce, sherry, ginger, garlic and green onion.

Step 2Cut fish into about 2 inch pieces and marinate for 30-40 minutes.

Step 3Remove fish from marinade and save marinade for later sauce.

Step 4Dip fish in beaten egg, then in floured bread crumbs.

Step 5Fry in about an inch of shortening until nicely browned.

Step 6Set aside while you make sauce.

Step 7SAUCE: To the reserved marinade add red pepper, broth and brown sugar.

Step 8Bring to a boil.

Step 9Add the cornstarch mixed with water.

Step 10Bring to a boil once more.

Step 11Serve sauce hot over fish with noodles or rice.
