I usually cook salmon cakes when I want something good but quick. I happened to be out of flour one night and decided to use a spicey chicken breader instead. I haven't used plain flour ever since. Quick, Simple, Lots of flavor with just a little "KICK"

Ingredients

  • 2- 5oz can(s)
    salmon (boneless, skinless) drained
  • 1
    egg
  • 1/3 c
    onion chopped
  • 1/3 c
    green pepper chopped
  • 4 Tbsp
    house of autry medium hot chicken breader**
  • 2 Tbsp
    mayonnaise
  • 4 Tbsp
    oil

How to Make Farrah's Spicey Salmon Cakes

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all ingredients except oil in a large bowl
  2. Form into patties. (Large patties for dinner or smaller patties for appetizers)
  3. Heat oil and fry patties until both sides are evenly brown
  4. **House of Autry medium hot chicken batter will add a lot of flavor and "heat". You can use flour instead and add spices to taste. Use frozen chopped onions and green peppers to help reduce prep time.
