x1200g octopus
4 Tbsp
extra virgin olive oil
2 Tbsp
balsamic vinegar
bay leaf
1 clove
of garlic
a pinch
of dried oregano
2 large
sheets of aluminium

How to Make Fabulous Octopus, Cooked in its Juices


  • 1Rinse the octopus under cold running water and place it as it is in a large bowl. Add the oil, balsamic vinegar, bay leaf, garlic and oregano and combine all ingredients well
  • 2Spread the sheets of the aluminium foil cross wise on a working surface. Place the octopus in the centre and pour over the marinade.
  • 3Fold the aluminium foil over the octopus but leave it loose so the air can circulate. Bake it for 1h and 15-30 minutes at 180°C and serve.
