This is an old recipe from the 1950's. Its easy and good. I'm sure many people already have this, or one like it, but a friend asked me to post it.

1 c
cooked and drained macaroni, elbows or shells
1/2 c
chopped onion
1/4 c
chopped green or red bell pepper
1 can(s)
condensed cream of chicken soup (or substitute cream of celery or mushroom)
2 Tbsp
all purpose flour
1 1/2 c
1 can(s)
oil packed tuna, drained (5 ounce can)
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 c
slivered almonds, divided

How to Make Easy Classic Tuna Casserole


  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together all ingredients except almonds. Stir in half of the almonds. Pour mixture into a buttered casserole dish. Top with remaining almonds. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until hot and browned a bit on the top.
