Creamed Tuna on Toast

Ingredients

1/2 cbutter

1/2 call purpose flour

1/2 tspkosher salt

1/4 tspfreshly ground black pepper

4 cmilk
-
2-3 smallcans tuna, drained

1 cfrozen peas, thawed

2-3 largehard boiled eggs (optional)

1 smalljar pimentoes, diced (optional)
How to Make Creamed Tuna on Toast
- Melt butter over medium-low heat; blend in flour, salt, and pepper. Stir and cook for about 2 minutes, or until smooth and bubbly. Gradually stir in milk while stirring constantly. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and begins to bubble.
- Add drained tuna and thawed peas. Add diced hard boiled egg and pimentos if using.
Continue heating and stirring until hot. - Serve creamed tuna over toast, biscuits, or rice.
