One of my beach buddies, JoAnn, shared this recipe with me and I want to pass it on to those of you that like crab meat. Hope you enjoy this wonderful casserole. Yummers!

4 Tbsp
melted butter
2 Tbsp
self-rising flour
1/4 pt
half & half (or canned milk)
1/4 c
dry wine, drink the rest
1/2 lb
lump crab meat
salt & pepper to taste
1/8 tsp
old bay seasoning
1/2 c
sharp cheddar cheese (or more)

How to Make Crabmeat au Gratin


  • 1Mix together the melted butter, flour & milk over low heat until thickened.
  • 2Take off heat & stir in the wine. Now stir in the crab meat, salt, pepper & Old Bay.
  • 3Pour into sprayed casserole dish & sprinkle cheese on top. Bake at 325 for 20 to 30 minutes.
