Ingredients
- 1 pound crabmeat, fresh
- 1/4 pound mushrooms, freshly sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon tarragon, dried
- pinch salt
- pinch pepper
- dash hot sauce
- 3/4 cup bread crumbs
How To Make crabmeat and mushrooms in wine sauce

Step 1Pull crab meat apart and remove stiff membranes.

Step 2Saute mushrooms in 2 tablespoons butter. (If mushrooms not fresh, add later.)

Step 3Make a cream sauce blending melted butter, flour and milk, wine, mustard, tarragon, salt, pepper and hot sauce; cook 2 or 3 minutes, then add crabmeat and mushrooms.

Step 4Place in casserole; sprinkle top with bread crumbs and dot with remaining butter.

Step 5Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes uncovered.

Step 6Cover before serving.

Step 7NOTE: This can also be made with shrimp, or crab meat and shrimp.
