This is a nice easy recipe for the person with little time.

Ingredients

  • 8 cups sour dough bread diced
  • 1 small diced onions
  • 2 - stacks small diced celery
  • 1 - bulb small diced fennel
  • 2 medium small diced carrots
  • 2 cloves crushed garlic
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pound crab meat
  • 2 tablespoons chopped thyme
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 6 - beatens eggs
  • 4 cups 1/2 and 1/2 cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make crab pudding

  • Step 1
    In a heavy skillet, heat the butter on medium heat until it stops foaming. Add the chopped vegetables and sauté until the onions begin to soften and become fragrant. (about 5 min) Add the garlic and thyme leaves and cook 1 more minute. Place veggie mixture in a large mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Place in an ovenproof casserole dish and bake in a preheated 400-degree oven until browned and firm. ( about 25 min) Let rest about 10 min before serving.
