Super simple, light and delicious. This was a delicious quick dinner. You could make smaller patties and use more Hawaiian rolls to make this a memorable appetizer for your next party.

Ingredients

  • 10 - 14 ounces crab meat, cleaned*
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon celery greens, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh thyme, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons panko bread crumbs
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8 - hawaiian bread rolls
  • 2 - tomatoes, sliced
  • - mayonnaise

How To Make crab cake sliders

  • Step 1
Mix first seven ingredients. Add panko bread crumbs and egg. Mix well and form into 8 patties about the size of your Hawaiian rolls. (If you have any extra, make a patty or two to add to a salad for tomorrow's lunch!)
  • Step 2
Melt butter in a sauce pan over medium heat. Cook patties until browned on each side. For the first batch 10 minutes on the first side, 5 on the second, then 5 minutes per side.
  • Step 3
Meanwhile lightly toast the Hawaiian rolls under the broiler. Spread with mayonnaise and add a slice of tomato. When the crab cakes are ready, add to the sliders and carefully close each sandwich. Enjoy!
  • Step 4
*Sometimes we make these with imitation crab meat, which is cheaper and also quite good. This recipe was actually created with imitation crab, but it is always better with the real thing!
