coconut striper
We catch a lot of striper, and end up freezing it. To add some variety to our fish dishes, I tried out a version of a classic...tempura. Serve with sweet and sour sauce with a dash of red pepper flakes.

Ingredients
- 1-2 pound striper (rockfish or striped bass)
- 1 box tempura batter mix
- 1 1/2 cups shredded coconut
How To Make coconut striper

Step 1Trim striper (or whitefish) and cut into "nuggets"

Step 2Follow tempura batter mix instructions on box, add in coconut and mix well.

Step 3Dip fish nuggets in batter mix, and drip into deep fryer. Remove when nuggets are golden brown. Excellent with rice and dipping sauce!
