Ingredients
- 4 large tuna steaks
- 1 1/2 cups cilantro
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- 3 teaspoons salt, divided
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/2 cup olive oil
How To Make cilantro pesto stuffed tuna steak

Step 1Cut a pocket in each tuna steak down one side but not through the other side.

Step 2Place the cilantro, garlic, pine nuts, and 1 tsp salt in a food processor and process drizzling in the olive oil.

Step 3Stuff each tuna pocket with the pesto. Season the tuna steaks with the remaining salt.

Step 4Add some olive oil to a cast iron pan. Sear the tuna on each side about 2 minutes per side.

Step 5Let rest 5 minutes, then serve.
