Ingredients

  • 2 celery ribs, chopped
  • 1/2 finely chopped onion
  • 3/16 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 3/4 cup rice
  • 3/4 cup tuna

How To Make chop suey with tuna

  • Step 1
    Cook celery and onion in 2 tablespoons water over low heat, covered.
  • Step 2
    When tender, remove from heat, add rice, 2 cup water and seasonings.
  • Step 3
    Bring to a boil.
  • Step 4
    Turn heat to low and cook covered, until rice is tender and liquid absorbed (about 1/2 hour).
  • Step 5
    Add tuna.
  • Step 6
    Mix and remove from heat.
  • Step 7
    Set aside, covered, for a few minutes before serving.
