How To Make cedar-planked salmon
-
Step 1Preheat your grill to medium -high. Season salmon with BBQ seasoning and set aside. Mix together the dill, shallots, garlic, green onions, planking spice, lemon juice, and olive oil. Spread the mixture evenly over the salmon fillets. Season the plank with sea salt and place on grill and close the lid. Heat for 3 - 5 mins till the plank starts to crackle. Open lid and place the salmon fillets on the plank. Close the lid and plank-grill for 12 - 15 mins until cooked or until salmon flakes . Remove plank from grill and allow to cool one minute. Squeeze the lemon over top and serve.
-
Step 2* There are so many flavored planks out there... oak, maple, cherry or apple ...so don't just stick to cedar..Apple is so good..my fav!! *If your plank catches fire which it can and I have had this happen, spray with a spray water bottle...be careful of not spraying the salmon.
