cape cod clam pie
Once in a while I enjoy a savory pie. I found this recipe in an older Family Circle Harback Cook book Copyright 1972, so I got this as a teenager (O-0) I like clams, I like pies, this seems simple enough. Hope You like it. My man likes seafood, so this is on my agenda

Ingredients
- - 2 crust pie pastry
- 2 - eggs
- 2 cans 10 1/2 oz minced clams
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup coarse crumbled unsalted soda crackers
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
How To Make cape cod clam pie

Step 1Drain liquid from clams, reserve 3/4 cup

Step 2beat eggs, add clam liquid, clams, milk and cracker crumbs, salt and pepper.

Step 3lay bottom pie crust in pie shell

Step 4drop clam mixture into pie crust

Step 5dot with the butter

Step 6place top crust on and crimp edges, Make a slit for steam to escape

Step 7bake in 450 degree oven for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 and continue baking another 30 minutes
