Ingredients
- 2 pounds salmon, steaks
- 1 tablespoon butt rub, your favorite brand or blend
- 2-3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 4 slices bacon, (i used a maple smoked)
How To Make brown sugar and bacon salmon
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
-
Step 2Line baking sheet with tin foil. Spray with Pam.
-
Step 3Place the steaks on baking sheet evenly spaced. I used tails, they just looked tastier. But I'm new to salmon so you tell me!
-
Step 4Mix the butt rub and brown sugar and rub onto salmon. Use as much or as little as you like. I used about a tbsp per steak, two large tail sections.
-
Step 5Lay bacon over steaks, I used 2 per section but if you are using steaks 1 would probably work per steak.
-
Step 6Let sit for about 20 minutes while you prep something else or oven finishes preheating.
-
Step 7Bake for about 10 minutes and then check to see how bacon is coming along. I finished off under the broiler but not too close for a few minutes to brown the bacon. 10 -15 minutes total cook time depending on your oven and size of fillets.
