Ingredients

  • 4 - salmon steaks
  • 1/4 cup white soybean paste (shiromiso)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 - green onions, chopped

How To Make broiled salmon - (sake no miso yaki)

  • Step 1
    Broil salmon on each side until done, about six minutes per side (salmon will be underdone at this point).
  • Step 2
    Combine and mix miso, sugar and soy sauce.
  • Step 3
    Spread on one side of each steak.
  • Step 4
    Return to broiler until lightly browned.
  • Step 5
    Turn over, spread sauce on flipside, broil again.
  • Step 6
    Garnish with chopped onions.
