    tilapia fillets
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    paprika
  • 1 Tbsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/2 stick
    butter
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil

How to Make Blackened Tilapia

Step-by-Step

  1. pat dry the tilapia fillets
  2. combine all the dry ingredients
  3. generously put on the fillets, in a large skillet put on high till smoking....put in half the butter and half the olive oil...sear in two batches about 2 minutes each side.
