Ingredients

  • 2 pounds tilapia fillets
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

How To Make blackened tilapia

  • Step 1
    pat dry the tilapia fillets
  • Step 2
    combine all the dry ingredients
  • Step 3
    generously put on the fillets, in a large skillet put on high till smoking....put in half the butter and half the olive oil...sear in two batches about 2 minutes each side.
