Black Cod is also called Sablefish is buttery and delicious. I let this sit in the marinade for a full two days.

Ingredients For black cod with miso sauce

  • 3 Tbsp
    Mirin
  • 3 Tbsp
    sake
  • 1/2 c
    white miso
  • 1/2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp
    chili garlic sauce
  • 4
    black cod fillets

How To Make black cod with miso sauce

  • 1
    Mix the first 5 ingredients. Set the black cod flesh side down in the marinade. Let marinate in the fridge for 8 hours or up to 2 days.

    Remove the fish from the marinade. Lay the fish flesh side down in a baking dish. Discard the marinade.

    Turn on the broiler and move the rack about 6 inches from the heat. Broil the fish until the skin is crispy, about 3 to 4 minutes. Keep an eye on it.

    Turn the fish and then broil another 5 to 6 minutes until the fish is done.
