    black cod or sablefish filets
  • 3 Tbsp
    honey
  • 3 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 3 Tbsp
    rice vinegar
  • lemon juice
  • 2 tsp
    sesame oil
  • 1
    thumb-size ginger, grated
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 3
    green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 c
    chicken stock
  • jasmine rice, for serving
  • fresh basil, for garnish

How To Make black cod with ginger honey soy glaze

    Mix the honey, soy saucy, rice vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil together. Place the fish into the sauce and marinate for 30 minutes.

    Place the oil in an oven safe pan. Remove the fish from the marinade and reserve the marinade. Cook the fish in the oil 5 minutes each side. Meanwhile strain the sauce through a fine mesh strainer. Pour into a saucepan and add the chicken stock. Bring to a boil and let reduce for about 7 minutes. Add the green onions.

    Plate the rice then the fish brush the sauce over the fish and pour around the fish.
