beer battered fish filets
This recipe creates a light and crispy batter with seasoning to flavor any fish. Don't like fish all that well...this is the recipe for you as there is no fishy taste once you've battered your fish with these seasonings. You can add other seasonings of your liking; I prefer to use McCormick brands and now and then add a squirt of mustard or Worcestershire sauce.

How To Make beer battered fish filets
-
Step 1Heat deep fryer or tall cast iron skillet with enough oil to fry fish. 1 1/2" inches deep or so.
-
Step 2Mix all dry ingredients in mixing bowl. Add egg. Pour beer intermittently while mixing. Set aside.
-
Step 3Here you need additional flour for fillets. Sprinkle about 1/2 cup of flour onto plate. Coat fillets with flour on both sides and set aside.
-
Step 4Pour beer mixture into a small pan; can use 12 x 12 baking pan. With meat fork, dip each floured fillet into the beer batter pulling fillets through batter on each side. Drop into fryer. Turn until browned as desired.
