How to Make Beer Battered Fish Filets
- Heat deep fryer or tall cast iron skillet with enough oil to fry fish. 1 1/2" inches deep or so.
- Mix all dry ingredients in mixing bowl. Add egg. Pour beer intermittently while mixing. Set aside.
- Here you need additional flour for fillets. Sprinkle about 1/2 cup of flour onto plate. Coat fillets with flour on both sides and set aside.
- Pour beer mixture into a small pan; can use 12 x 12 baking pan. With meat fork, dip each floured fillet into the beer batter pulling fillets through batter on each side. Drop into fryer. Turn until browned as desired.
