Ingredients
- 2-4 medium potatoes, scrubbed and cut into fingers
- 1 pound fish filets, your choice
- 1 can (12 oz) beer, your choice
- 1 medium egg, beaten until fluffy
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup flour, for dipping
- - oil, for deep frying
How To Make beer battered fish and chips

Step 1pat potatoes and fish dry with paper towels. while potatoes are frying, prepare batter for fish.

Step 2to prepare batter, mix together beer, egg, milk and oil. add baking powder, cayenne pepper, salt and flour all at once, mixing only enough to dampen the dry ingredients.

Step 3remove potato chips from the oil with slotted spoon, drain on paper towels and season to taste.

Step 4coat fish pieces in flour before dipping fish in batter and place in hot oil to deep fry. cook until golden, about 6 minutes. remove from oil with slotted spoon, drain on paper towels.
