Ingredients
- 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 cup soft wheat-berry breadcrumbs (i use pepperidge farms bread)
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 4 trout fillets (4 ounce)
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter, melted and divided
How To Make baked trout

Step 1Place the mushrooms in an ungreased 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons melted butter. Set aside.

Step 2Combine the breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish; stir well.

Step 3Dip the fillets in 3 tablespoons melted butter and dredge in the breadcrumb mixture.

Step 4Place the fillets on top of the mushrooms. Drizzle with the remaining 3 tablespoons melted butter. Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until the fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
