Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp
    plain lowfat yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp
    reduced calorie mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp
    capers, drained
  • 1/2 tsp
    white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp
    lemon pepper
  • 2
    4 ounce salmon steaks
  • 1 small
    onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbsp
    dry white wine
  • 1 tsp
    dried dill
  • ·
    lemon slices
  • ·
    fresh dill sprigs

How to Make Baked Salmon with Caper Sauce

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine first five ingredients, mixing well.
  2. Cover and chill, rinse salmon and pat dry.
  3. Place in 1 quart baking dish coated with cooking spray.
  4. Arrange onion slices over salmon, pour wine over salmon and sprinkle with dill.
  5. Cover and bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until salmon flakes easily when tested with a fork.
  6. Disard oinion and dill (if fresh).
  7. Transfer to individual serving plates.
  8. Spoon 2 tablespoons of caper sauce over each salmon steak and garnish with lemon slices and fresh dill if desired.
