baked haddock chowder
pkg. slicelean salt pork
6-8 largepotatoes,unpeeled,sliced thin
2 largeonions sliced thin
1 can(s)evaporated milk
Tbspflour,or corn starch
pinchsalt and pepper
4-6 slicebutter patty's
1-2 lbfresh haddock/ or your choice
How to Make baked haddock chowder
- lay sliced salt pork on botton of large baking dish,then continue to layer sliced potatoes,sliced onions. top with a few slices of butter.
- whisp flour and milk together until nice and smooth. add salt and pepper to taste. Pour over all.
- cover with foil. bake for 1/2 hr then add fish on top of all, replace foil. check several times until potatoes are fork tender and fish is done.
