How to Make B B Q Crabs
- Buy the crabs alive. Put them on ice to slow them down for about an half an hour or so. If they are still snapping at you, keep them on ice a little longer. Put in the sink and push the front part of the crab down in the sink. With a knife, put under the back flap and pop the top off. Clean the inside of the crab. Make sure you get all the gills picked off. There should be just shell and meat left. With a nut cracker, crack the claws so the seasoning can get in.
- Put the seasonings in a paper bag. Add the ceabs one at a time and shake until well coated.
- Put oil into a deep fryer at 350 degrees and fry about 5 to 10 minutes. It depends on the size of the crabs. They will turn pink.
- Drain on paper towles and serve with melted butter with a little creole seasoning.
