Ingredients
- 1/2 cup carrots, shredded
- 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 - chicken bouillon cube
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 3/4 cup long grain rice, uncooked
- 1 tablespoon butter, unsalted
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon dill
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 4 - salmon steaks, 1/2 inch thick
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise

Step 1Gently boil carrots, celery, onions and bouillon in water in pot, covered, 10 minutes.

Step 2Stir in rice and butter.

Step 3Simmer, covered, 20 minutes (not all liquid will be absorbed).

Step 4Combine flour, garlic salt, dill and onion powder on waxed paper.

Step 5Spread salmon on both sides with mayonnaise.

Step 6Dip in flour mixture.

Step 7Lightly brown steaks on both sides in ungresed skillet over medium heat.

Step 8Pour UNDRAINED rice mixture into shallow baking dish, about 11x7\".

Step 9Place steaks on top of rice mixture.

Step 10Bake, uncovered, in preheated 400 degree oven for 20-25 minutes or until fish is cooked through.

Step 11Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
