Ingredients
- 1 large Ahi tuna steak
- 2 medium Ahi tuna steaks
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons grated ginger
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon minced green onion
- 1 cup grated carrot
- 0 - Gochujang
- 0 - Kewpie mayonnaise
How To Make ahi tuna 2 ways with crisp rice patty

Step 1Place the two medium tuna steaks in a dish. Add 2 Tbsp of soy sauce, half the ginger, and garlic. Let marinate.

Step 2Season the cooked rice with the rice vinegar and shape into two patties. Set aside.

Step 3Cut the large tuna steak into small cubes.

Step 4Mix the tuna cubes with the green onion, the remaining tablespoon of soy sauce, and the remaining ginger. Set aside.

Step 5Add the sesame oil to a skillet. Sear the tuna steaks until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside to rest.

Step 6In the same pan, add the rice patties and cook until crisp on both sides.

Step 7Place the carrots in the middle of a plate. Top with the cubed tuna.

Step 8Slice the two tuna steaks and plate to the left of the carrot.

Step 9Place the crispy rice patty to the right of the carrot. Drizzle the gochujang and Kewpie mayo over top.
