3/8 c
1/4 c
fresh lemon juice
6 1/2 large
garlic cloves, minced
bay leaves
lemon, thinly sliced
3/8 c
vegetable oil
1/2 Tbsp

How to Make Zabar's Lemon-Garlic Chicken


  • 1Place chicken in a large zip-top heavy-duty plastic bag. Combine the next 7 ingredients; pour over the chicken. Seal bag securely. Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for 12 hours, turning occasionally.
  • 2Remove the chicken from the marinade, reserving the lemon slices. Discard the marinade. Place the chicken, breast side up, in a large roasting pan. Combine the oil and paprika; pour over chicken and rub over skin. Place lemon slices over the chicken.
  • 3Bake, uncovered, at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce the heat to 350 degrees; cover and bake 1 hour and 10 minutes or until done. Uncover it during the last 10 minutes.
