white bean chili

I made this and fell in love. I made homemade corn bread to go with the chili. I think you will too. My husband and younger brother loved it.

Ingredients

  • 3 cans navy beans
  • 2 cans chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon for extra flavor/ per your taste
  • 2 teaspoons salt free butter
  • 2 tablespoons chopped garlic
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup green bell peppers
  • 2 cans small cans green chilies
  • 1 pound skinless boneless chicken (breast or thighs) chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 bunches cilantro, fresh chopped

How To Make white bean chili

  • Step 1
    In a saucepan lightly cook chicken, garlic, onions, and green bell peppers
  • Step 2
    Open navy beans.
  • Step 3
    In large pot add navy beans, chicken broth, garlic chicken, onions, bell peppers, cumin, oregano, black pepper, cilantro and cans of green chili. add chicken bouillon for extra flavor.
  • Step 4
    Lower heat to medium and cook, while stiring occasionally. cook for approximately 45mins. Serve with home made corn bread.
