This has been a favorite of ours for YEARS. I found it in the front entry of our local grocery store. It's light, tasty, and easy to keep on hand.

  • 4 Tbsp
  • 1/2 tsp
    dijon mustard
  • 10 oz
    canned chicken, drained
  • 2 slice
    bacon, crisp fried and crumbled
  • 1/2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 large
    tomato, sliced

How to Make Valley Fresh Chicken Pita Sandwich


  1. Cut pita bread in half to make pita pockets.
  2. Blend mayonnaise and mustard. Add chicken, bacon, and cheese.
  3. If preferred, lightly toast pitas in a small non-stick fry pan with a little oil over medium heat. Place tomato slices in each pita pocket. Fill pita pockets with chicken mixture.
