This has been a favorite of ours for YEARS. I found it in the front entry of our local grocery store. It's light, tasty, and easy to keep on hand.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 10 ounces canned chicken, drained
  • 2 slices bacon, crisp fried and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 4 - pitas

How To Make valley fresh chicken pita sandwich

  • Step 1
    Cut pita bread in half to make pita pockets.
  • Step 2
    Blend mayonnaise and mustard. Add chicken, bacon, and cheese.
  • Step 3
    If preferred, lightly toast pitas in a small non-stick fry pan with a little oil over medium heat. Place tomato slices in each pita pocket. Fill pita pockets with chicken mixture.
